Industrial Degasifier and CO2 Stripping Towers

Degasifier Systems

Efficient Stripping of Dissolved Free CO₂ Prior to Ion-Exchange and EDI

Dissolved free carbon dioxide (CO₂) in water causes severe carbonic acid corrosion in piping and steam condensate return lines. Furthermore, in demineralization trains, dissolved CO₂ behaves as an anion, rapidly exhausting expensive anionic resin beds or overburdening CEDI stacks.

EF Aqua forced-draft degasifier towers break down incoming water into fine droplets across high-surface polypropylene pall ring packing, allowing an upward counter-current air draft from a centrifugal blower to strip 90%–95% of dissolved CO₂ to the atmosphere.

Advantages & Features

  • 90% - 95% stripping efficiency for dissolved free carbon dioxide (CO2) gas
  • Polypropylene (PP), GRP (FRP) or 316L stainless steel tower body construction
  • High specific surface area polypropylene Raschig or Pall ring packing media
  • Inlet air particulate filtration with low-noise industrial centrifugal blower fan
  • Cuts caustic (NaOH) and anionic resin consumption by more than 50% in DI lines
  • Maximizes the operational stability and lifespan of CEDI and Mix-Bed systems
